4TH OF JULY CHARITY KICKBALL TOURNAMENT
The Young Black Professionals Coalition and DJ Mr. King host its Annual 4th of July Charity Kickball Tournament the Saturday prior to July 4 at Erie Island Fields in Akron, Ohio.
There is an early bird $120 entry fee per team through June 24 ($150 per team after). All proceeds raised throughout the tournament will benefit the Annual “I Know I Can” Back-To-School Drive in Akron

"I KNOW I CAN" BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE
The Young Black Professionals Coalition (YBPC), in collaboration with Huntington Bank and DJ Mr. King, host the "I Know I Can” Back to School Drive and Community Resource Fair during the last Sunday of August on annual basis to prepare inner-city youth and low-income families for the new school year.
Throughout the day, young men receive free haircuts courtesy of Deon’s Grooming Lounge, while Akron area beauticians will provide mini-pedicures to young women.
Community organizations and agencies that provide assistance to families also will take part, and students will receive school supplies and book bags.
Since the program began, more than 3,000 students and families throughout Summit County have been served with book bags filled with notebooks, paper, pens, pencils and other school supplies.

STRIKES 4 HUNGER CHARITY BOWLING OUTING
The Young Black Professionals Coalition (YBPC) hosts its Annual "Strikes 4 Hunger" Charity Bowling Outing every night before Thanksgiving at Rivera Lanes (20 S. Miller Road) in Fairlawn, Ohio.
The event centered around raising food and money for the holiday season that would support local food pantries and shelters in the Akron area.
Youth Bowl is open to children ages 5-18 and will take place from 5pm to 8pm. Admission for youth is $10 ($7 with 5+ can goods) and includes unlimited bowl and shoe rental.
Adult Bowl will commence at 9pm. Admission is $20 ($15 with 10+ can goods) and includes unlimited bowl and shoe rental.

ADOPT-A-FAMILY CHRISTMAS MISISON
The Young Black Professionals mission is to help families enjoy the holiday season. Through our discrete referral based Adopt-A-Family Christmas initiative, several members of YBPC collectively assist in assuring 2-3 families in Northeast Ohio are able to enjoy a wonderful holiday season with their loved ones, through gifts, foods and other means.
